Prior to joining AVPN, Arnil headed an award-winning research project that explored the emergence of social enterprises in post-disaster areas in the Philippines. His work has been instrumental in examining how social entrepreneurs navigate in extremely uncertain and time compressed environments. He has lectured in various universities in Manila, London, Hong Kong, Toronto and Louvain-la-Neuve in Belgium. He currently holds an academic post in the Asian Institute of Management, a member organisation of AVPN.
Alongside his academic work, he has co-founded a smartphone application designed for crowdsourcing philanthropic giving, and a travel-related social enterprise that curates impact tours for international secondary schools and university students.
Arnil holds a Masters in Political Economy from the London School of Economics (with distinction), where he also completed his PhD course work. He obtained his PhD degree in Public Policy from City University of Hong Kong.
