Andrea is the Head of Technology & Innovation at Focus Global Inc and is a Board Advisor for BASES, Stanford University’s 24 year old entrepreneurship organization.
She started her tech journey at Stanford through it’s technology and entreprenurship engineering program. Since then, Andrea has started her own company in her college dorm room, organized startup competitions for over 200 startups, raised $150k in support of Stanford startups, built natural language processing tools as a data scientist at LinkedIn, and worked in machine learning startups in the Bay Area.
More recently, she worked on data products at Square, a public fintech payments company with a market cap of $27B. There, she built the database and analytics platform for Square Capital, which uses proprietary payments data to assess credit and risk across SMBs and consumers.
Outside of tech, Andrea has developed content for classes at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and founded Stanford’s Women in Entrepreneurship Summit.
She’s passionate about leveraging data and insights around human behavior to build more efficient systems and products in SEA. Right now, she’s splitting her time innovating in the retail and logistics sector at FGI, advising startups in SEA, and playing volleyball.
