“Pro-Philippines, pro-poor and pro-environment”, it is no wonder that the people are pro-Anna Meloto-Wilk, who demonstrates with her brand that beauty can indeed, change lives. Anna got her philanthropic drive from her father, founder of Gawad Kalinga, Tony Meloto. Founded with her husband Dylan Wilk and sister Camille Meloto, Human Nature creates affordable and certified natural personal and home care products from locally sourced ingredients, while embodying practices such as sustainability, eco-friendly and fair trade. Her dream is to “unlock the potent qualities of the best of the Philippines’ natural flora, and turn them into world-class products.” Established in 2008, they not only provide dignified employment to the working poor, especially women, they also seek to enrich their lives by providing personal and financial counselling. They are projected to experience a 20% growth and 34 local stores and in six countries in the next year. The brand won the Sustainable Pioneer Award in October 2016, one of five industry recognitions given by Paris-based think tank Ecovia Intelligence. Anna herself is one of the two Filipina listed on Asia Society New York’s Young Leaders Initiative 2016.
